Did I Build This Too Big? | 7 Days to Die 3.0
This 7 Days to Die 3.0 playthrough is built around exploring many of the biggest additions in 3.0. We'll be experimenting with the new sandbox settings system, learning how the new degradation mechanics impact long-term survival, and hunting for the best possible gear using the new Magnitude system and Combine Station. Finding a Tier 6 item is no longer the finish line—now the goal is building the best possible version of every weapon, tool, and piece of equipment we can find. FIELD JOURNAL — Day 22 Morning, Day 22. The blood moon came and went, and the beacon still stands. We pushed deeper into the desert, scavenged more supplies, and pulled enough wiring magazines from the ruins to finally see a path toward powered defenses. The pump shotgun proved its worth, and the crossroads hub is beginning to feel less like a camp and more like a foothold. Black Hollow still has a way of punishing mistakes, but we're learning its rhythms. The lesson remains the same: progress comes from preparation, not speed. Every load of concrete, every stack of forged iron, every magazine matters. This morning I hauled in another round of materials, drank a cup of coffee while looking over the plans, and finally laid out the foundation for the new base. For the first time, I can see the shape of the central beacon tower. Today it's back to work—fill the stockpiles, earn enough dukes for a better bellows, and push farther into the southern desert. GOALS • Stockpile concrete, forged iron, and other building materials • Level Wiring up far enough to unlock Powered Doors • Continue construction of the new base and central beacon tower • Earn enough dukes to purchase the Level 3 Bellows (+50% smelting speed) • Explore the larger desert city to the south • Search for additional survivors' traces and new points of interest What Is the Signal? Months after the outbreak, Black Hollow has gone quiet. Survivor camps sit abandoned. The radios are silent. Most days it feels like there's nobody left but the dead. But every now and then I find something that doesn't add up—a building already looted, a campfire where there shouldn't be one, signs that someone passed through not long before I arrived. So instead of settling down, we're going searching. The goal of The Signal is simple: explore Black Hollow, uncover the new 3.0 POIs, and every seven days construct a beacon visible for miles across the wasteland. Towers. Floodlights. Fortresses. Whatever it takes. When the blood moon arrives, we light it up and send another signal into the darkness. Maybe nobody sees the signal. Maybe nobody is left. But if someone is still out there, eventually they'll know they're not alone.
