One Wrong Move in the Desert | 7 Days to Die 3.0 Streamer Weekend
7 Days to Die 3.0 is finally here, and for Streamer Weekend we're diving into a brand-new series: The Signal. This playthrough is built around exploring many of the biggest additions in 3.0. We'll be experimenting with the new sandbox settings system, learning how the new degradation mechanics impact long-term survival, and hunting for the best possible gear using the new Magnitude system and Combine Station. Finding a Tier 6 item is no longer the finish line—now the goal is building the best possible version of every weapon, tool, and piece of equipment we can find. FIELD JOURNAL — Day 15 Morning, Day 15. We survived the second horde and finished establishing a forward base at the crossroads where the forest, snow, and desert meet. It is not much to look at yet, but it gives us a place to work from and a signal anyone nearby might see. The move here cost time, supplies, and more than a few close calls. The vultures in the desert taught me not to underestimate anything in Black Hollow, and every trip into unfamiliar territory seems to reveal a new way to die. Still, the position is good. From here we can reach every surrounding biome without abandoning the mission. Today the focus shifts from building to searching. If there are survivors left in Black Hollow, this is where we start looking. And if we're going to cover more ground, I need something faster than a bicycle. GOALS • Scout the desert biome • Survive the vultures long enough to find it • Identify the hub location for the crafting base • Upgrade our guns and wheels • Get out before something else finds me first What Is the Signal? Months after the outbreak, Black Hollow has gone quiet. Survivor camps sit abandoned. The radios are silent. Most days it feels like there's nobody left but the dead. But every now and then I find something that doesn't add up—a building already looted, a campfire where there shouldn't be one, signs that someone passed through not long before I arrived. So instead of settling down, we're going searching. The goal of The Signal is simple: explore Black Hollow, uncover the new 3.0 POIs, and every seven days construct a beacon visible for miles across the wasteland. Towers. Floodlights. Fortresses. Whatever it takes. When the blood moon arrives, we light it up and send another signal into the darkness. Maybe nobody sees the signal. Maybe nobody is left. But if someone is still out there, eventually they'll know they're not alone.
